I suppose we put hang wreaths on our doors to welcome others to our homes, but I think I get as much or more pleasure from it myself seeing a bright splash of color every time I come home. This year I made a new wreath completely different from every other year- there's no green!! I had these beautiful poinsettias left from previous years when I used them on my mantle or stair railing. But since I did my mantle in all white and silver, and my new banister is way too long for my old garlands, I decided to make them into a wreath. I just sprayed an old grapevine wreath with red spray paint, then hot glued the flowers all over it. Beautiful in its simplicity, and so welcoming.
